Dr. Chris D'Adamo welcomed as Assistant Professor at Center for Integrative Medicine

Dr. Chris D'Adamo joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Center for Integrative Medicine as an Assistant Professor in September 2010.

 

Dr. D’Adamo is a nutritional epidemiologist interested in the synergistic roles of nutrition and exercise in improving body composition and preventing chronic disease. He received his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and has presented work from his dissertation entitled “Serum Vitamin E Concentrations and Physical Function after Hip Fracture” at several national conferences.

 

He is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a Certified Sports Nutrition Consultant through the International Sports Medicine Association (ISMA). Chris maintains a limited personal training and nutritional consulting practice incorporating the latest research findings into program development for his clients.
