New Regional Anesthesiology Fellowship Program Established

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is proud to announce the establishment of a Regional Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. Dr. Lise Asaro, assistant professor of Anesthesiology, is the Fellowship Director and has developed an excellent comprehensive training program designed to advance the science, skills and knowledge of regional anesthesia techniques and practice, including acute perioperative and outpatient management. The one-year fellowship training program, based on the ASRA guidelines for fellowship training and the institution’s accreditation equivalency requirements, is approved for one fellow per year. The first fellow will commence training in July 2012. The training sites will include Kernan Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
