Together, the IDEA Partnership and the Center for School Mental Health (CSMH) have created a mechanism for the exchange of information and the ability to pursue a shared agenda. A website, www.sharedwork.org, sponsored by the IDEA Partnership offers a mechanism for communication and collaboration. It provides a space for the National Community of Practice on Collaborative School Behavioral Health and its 10 associated Practice Groups to work together to advance school mental health. Through the website, there is a listserv mechanism that offers opportunities for public communication, community announcements, summaries of practice group work, and requests for comments. The website assists Practice Groups with achieving their goals including: defining critical issues, creating a repository of key online documents, communicating and active collaborating to advance topics, defining new shared work, developing a conference strand for the CSMH’s 12th Annual Conference on School Mental Health, and creating at least one tool or document for the field that is collaboratively developed. |
