Resources for School Mental Health Clinicians: Conflict Resolution/Peer Mediation As part of a school-wide prevention initiative in an elementary/middle school through the University of Maryland School Mental Health Program, a peer mediation/conflict resolution program was developed in an effort to help reduce suspensions and expulsions within the school. Through the initiative, a training curriculum for student mediators (5th-8th graders) was created. This training was successfully implemented and student and teacher response has been very positive. Below you will find the student training manual and associated referral and evaluation forms.
